The full armour of God

Verses: Ephesians 6: 13

Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Reflection
 

 
Every day is a gift from God and an opportunity to live for him.

Sometimes unsuspectingly we get hit by a trial a temptation, a loss, a betrayal - what Ephesians 6:13 calls ‘the day of evil’.

God invites us to prepare for these days by putting on the full armour of God. Jesus also taught us to pray, Lord deliver us from evil.
 
I wonder how you're responding to these two invitations?
 
Let us pray
Heavenly Father
Father thank you that in your wisdom and generosity you have provided us with your full armour.
Would you help us to live with a healthy awareness of the evil day,
and help us to be obedient in preparing by putting on your full armour and praying proactively.
And when everything is done, help us to remain standing?
We ask this in your holy name.
