Successfully building multi-ethnic church

A conference to equip church leaders to build genuinely multi-ethnic churches is taking place in January

Multi ethnic church3

Many of our churches are committed to becoming multi-ethnic but struggle in the process. This is not surprising, building multi -ethnic churches is a complex and challenging undertaking.

The conference ‘Successfully Building Multi- ethnic Church ‘(Listening, Theology and Equipping) aims to support church leaders with theological and practical support based on recent doctoral research by some of the conference contributors.

Successfully Building Multi-ethnic Church will be hosted at Greenford Baptist Church, west London, on Thursday 12 January from 10.30am – 3pm.

It will draw together practitioners and academics, experienced in the field of multi -ethnic church. Contributors include Rosemarie Davidson-Gotobed, Wale Hudson-Roberts, Dr Usha  Reifsnider, Israel Olofinjana, David Wise and Sarah-Jane Nii-Adjei. Their input will equip the delegates to build genuinely multi- ethnic churches in many aspects of church life. This includes worship, preaching and leading.

The day will provide theological and practical input, based on doctoral research around local church where people of many ethnicities are genuinely engaged.

It will also offer interactive sessions with fellow church leaders that will leave you better equipped to see genuinely multi-ethnic church built.
