St Hild Centre for Baptist Ministry now registered with the Office for Students

Eligible students at the centre will now, for the first time, be able to access student finance, including loans for both undergraduate and postgraduate study

St Hild Centre for Baptist MinThe St Hild Centre for Baptist Ministry was accepted into membership of the Baptist Union of Great Britain last March and officially launched in September.

It is part of St Hild College, which has successfully achieved registration with the Office for Students (OfS).
The OFS regulates higher education providers in England.

Following an intensive process the college was judged 'to provide high quality courses with robust academic standards, meeting all the requirements of the OfS,' stated a press release.

The Revd Graham Ensor, regional minister team leader Yorkshire Baptist Association, and interim chair of the St Hild Council, said, 'This is a wonderful achievement and is testament to the excellent courses provided by St Hild.

'We look forward to continuing our journey of being a pioneering college that serves the church for the transformation of communities.'

The Revd Dr Janet Williams, Vice-Principal of the College said, 'Registration with the Office for Students is a significant stepping-stone towards our vision of making high-quality theological education and ministerial training accessible as widely as possible across the region we serve.

'It has the potential to broaden and enrich our community as we seek to be formed in the likeness of Christ and to serve his purposes in the world.'

St Hild College is a pioneering theological education provider with teaching centres in Sheffield, Mirfield, Lincoln and online. It serves more than 200 students across its sites including Anglican ordinands, curates and readers, Baptists, and students from multiple denominations.

St Hild has a long history of partnership with the East Midlands and Yorkshire Baptist Associations. More info about the St Hild Centre for Baptist Ministry here.
