New creation care initiative: Worth Saving

BMS World Mission is excited to announce the launch of a new initiative that will help you play a part in caring for God’s creation

“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” Genesis 2:15

The biblical message is clear. God calls humankind to care for his creation. As we face challenges like climate change, natural disasters and pollution we need to become active participants in caring for the world. His initial call to action is a reminder that our earth is ‘worth saving’. Will you answer the call?

All you need to do to connect with Worth Saving is sign up today (for free) and BMS will do the rest, sending you a monthly email that will equip you with knowledge and inspire you to care for creation in new and exciting ways.

The monthly emails will be packed full of creation care resources – a year’s worth of inspiration and information, in regular, easy-to-use bites.

In each email you will get something worth downloading, clicking, reading and doing.

Specifically, that means you will receive beautiful computer desktop backgrounds by an award-winning photographer, something to read on creation care, an action for you to undertake, prayer points, and links to other organisations who focus on caring for the earth.

The launch of this initiative coincides with the COP 21 United Nations conference on climate change, being held in Paris on 7 to 8 December 2015. The climate conference will establish a new universal climate change agreement. The goal of the agreement will be to put the world firmly on track to a low-carbon, sustainable future.

As we look towards the future, we cannot stand idly by in caring for the earth. That’s why BMS feels the Worth Saving initiative is the perfect place to start.

'We are really very excited about Worth Saving. The downloadable photographs are exquisite, the articles are fascinating and the actions and prayers are a perfect way to engage with this crucial issue,' says Jonathan Langley, BMS Head of Content.

'I’d encourage any Christian to sign up to receive the Worth Saving monthly email. It’s a simple way to stay informed and inspired about creation care.'

We believe all of creation is worth saving. Will you accept this call to action?

Join us in caring for all of creation by signing up today. The first BMS Worth Saving monthly email goes out next week and we hope you’ll join us in answering the call to action.
