Re: 'So many young leaders... and their passion for Jesus was incredible'
So encouraging to read.

Re: The place of Pastoral Supervision in ministerial development
Very helpful article thanks Paul. As a fellow APSE member and Pastoral Supervisor and Baptist minister I would be excited to see this ministry grow in BUGB.

Re: A new children’s group
Amazing! We'll be sharing your story Attleborough Baptist Church in our own church family setting, in the hope that it will encourage us as we seek to restart our Junior Church activities. We trust that the Lord will continue to bless your children's work. We are praying for the children and the workers and your neighbourhood. Amen

Re: 'It's time to call out ageism'
Disappointing article because the writer doesn't give specific examples or grapple with the real problems involved. For instance for years our BUGB committees have favoured younger people (under 40s), women and ethnic minorities and I can see why, but it does mean that those not in those categories can feel left out and increasingly feel that they have nothing left to offer.

David, but is that because committees were already over represented by those not in your stated categories. And this has been an attempt to have a balance of people, which I must say still needs to be worked on.

Sandra, definitely true. But it is an issue that the article doesn't grapple with.
Or to put it another way how do redress the balance without sending the message to those whose contribution is no longer wanted that they are past it and have nothing left to give? It is not easy, never has been, but this was a missed opportunity to grapple with the issue.
