'The “laying on of hands” had to be done differently'

Long Eaton Baptist Church in Nottingham reports on the induction of its new minister

Long Eaton inductionOn Saturday 19 September Long Eaton Baptist Church inducted Mike Arnold as its new minister. The service was led by the moderator Michael Bochenski, and the act of induction was guided by Regional Minister Nick Ashton, who also preached.

It was great to welcome - and receive greetings from - representatives of the community and from Calverton Baptist and other local churches. The “laying on of hands” had to be done differently, in these COVID times, and the celebratory tea will have to wait until (probably) next year.

This was, nonetheless, a day the Lord had made. We were glad, and rejoiced in it...
