Ordination and induction at the Baptist Church Kilmington

More than 180 people came along to The Baptist Church Kilmington on Saturday, 3 September to celebrate Michael Hudson's ordination and induction 

The church welcomed Carl Smethurst, Regional Minister at SWBA who led the service and the Revd Dr Stephen Finamore, Principal of Bristol Baptist College, who gave the message and presented Mike with an ordination Bible.  

Other visitors who took part were Revd Joel Ferreira from Mike’s sending church, Emsworth Baptist; Revd George Baker, Mike’s home group leader from his first church and now pastor at Pinhoe Road Baptist in Exeter, and Jamie Reeves, a fellow minister in training and now pastor of Rodbourne Cheney Baptist Church in Swindon.  

Amongst the many guests was the church’s former Pastor, Darrell Holmes - it was good to see him again and his family.

Mike chose Psalm 119:105 to be the theme for the service and a card signed by all the guests and presented to Mike included verses Psalm 24:4-5

Please pray for Mike (and his  young family), the church leaders and elders and the whole fellowship as it embarks on an exciting new future and as the church discerns God’s will for the church and its community.
