Apply for a QI Grant
Thank you for your interest in applying to Baptists Together for a Quinquennial Inspection Grant funded by Historic England. Before getting started please read the following information regarding eligibility, terms and conditions and how to apply for a grant and make a claim. We look forward to receiving your application!

Who is eligible?

The funding is open to churches who:
-
are in membership with the Baptist Union of Great Britain
-
look after listed chapels in England
-
have not had a Quinquennial or Condition Survey since 2016 inclusive
We would particularly encourage applications from:

Churches whose listed chapel has been identified on the Heritage at Risk register

Churches whose listed chapel has not been inspected in the last ten years or more
Funding is not currently available to churches with listed chapels in Wales, however we would welcome expressions of interest from any churches who do not qualify for this round.
Terms and Conditions:
Grants are available for the lesser of 50% of the total fee (incl VAT) for the inspection and associated documents, or £400
To qualify for the grant all inspections and accompanying documentation must be:

subject to 2 or more quotes
-
undertaken by a suitably qualified, conservation accredited and experienced professional (SEE REGISTERS HERE)

in accordance with Baptists Together Notes for Inspectors
-
shared with Baptists Together along with all other required documents (see below)
-
used to complete short monitoring and evaluation activities in the year following receipt of the report
How to apply:

Once confirmed, submit 2 quotes to the same address, as per instructions on the application form. Note: you will have 3 months to submit a claim and be guaranteed your full grant offer
Making a claim:

Submit copies of:

the QI Report
-
a QI Cover Sheet
-
a QI Recommended Works Schedule
-
the Invoice provided by your inspector [this should be itemised where including other services]
PLEASE NOTE:- if these are not received within 3 months, the funding can no longer be guaranteed and may be reallocated
Additional Information:
If your building has a hard-to-reach area such as a roof requiring rope access that hasn't been surveyed in a long time, we would urge you to take this opportunity to include this in your survey brief.
