Children's worker

Hours: Full-time (35 hours); part time will also be considered. Hours will include some evenings and regular Sundays.
Salary: £26,500 - £30,000. Salary will be dependent on training and experience.
Location:  South Herefordshire

Brief description of the role:
Developing the ministry at Gorsley Baptist Church (GBC) for the 0-11’s and supporting the transition into youth, and key transition periods; working with an established volunteer team, families, community groups; creating and engaging in a variety of programmed and one-off events; building connections with the children and their parent/carers.

Currently we run three groups on a Sunday across 0-11’s. During the week we run Acorn stay and play, aimed at preschool aged children which we get about 40 children each week, and Rooted, an afterschool space which we get about 50 children each week mostly from the local primary school. Other connections with the local primary include supporting their assemblies and seasonal services, and coaching via TLG.
