Two Positions of Team Lead and Empowerment Worker
Hope into Action UK are a Christian charity working in partnership with churches across the UK to house and support those who have suffered homelessness.
We have over 115 homes and partners, over 20 of whom are Baptist churches.
We are looking for two new members to join our Peterborough team. Peterborough is where the charity began and was formed back in 2011 when one house and one church felt called to support ex-offenders on release from the local prison. We now have 17 homes in this city alone which house over 40 men, women and children from a range or backgrounds and with a variety of support needs.
Empowerment Workers meet tenants weekly and work through any obstacles or issues they may be facing. They also liaise with a small team of volunteers from the partner church to ensure tenants receive a holistic support package which includes friendship, pastoral and spiritual care.
The team lead will manage the existing team of 6 staff and work closely with the Head of Delivery & Training to ensure excellent day-to-day management of the project, but also strategise and create plans for development and growth in the future.
If you have a heart for those in need of a fresh start and are keen to see the church play their part in addressing the injustice of homelessness, please do take a look.
