"A time to reflect"
30/07/18
My time in Jamaica is coming to an end. I don't want to leave (I love being here soooooooooooo much) but there is a time for everything. I have had such an amazing experience. God has been so good.
In my time here at Linstead Baptist Church, we've been exploring the theme of living in partnership; partnership in relationship, partnership in ministry and partnership in prayer. We need each other. Iron sharpens iron. As the body of believers, every part of the body is important, every part of the body is necessary and every part of the body has a part to play. When we don’t live and work together in partnership, it can be destructive to other parts of the body. On the other hand, it is a beautiful sight when people work together in harmony, when love is shared. It strengthens you, it encourages you. I couldn’t have come here and survived on my own. I needed other people. It's been a sweet, fruitful, and wonderful experience because of the partnership of believers. In sharing with others, everyone is blessed.
It really has been an amazing two months. I've learnt to trust God even more and I've grown in faith. All his promises are yes and amen; when He says something, you can take his word for it. There have been several instances where I've just had to take a step back and think about how good God has been. Looking back, there were instances where it looked like nothing was changing or happening, but He was busy working things out. Everything just worked out perfectly, no man could have ever drafted it and no man could have made it happen. It just blows my mind every time. I've laughed and I've cried, but I've thoroughly enjoyed my first experience in Jamaica. I came not knowing anyone but I am leaving knowing so many more people. I will never forget the people I've met, the friends I’ve made and the family I've gained.
Thanks for following me on my journey.
God bless xxx
