Cardiff Baptist College
Cardiff Baptist College is a faith-based formational community that has been preparing women and men from across the UK for ministry in all spheres of life since 1807. We covenant to ‘walk together’ to develop spiritual maturity, practical skills, and theological vision. We seek to be hospitable, inhabiting the border between church and world to explore Christian faith and practice in a way that is academically rigorous, theologically broad and deep, and relevant to the needs of today. We do this with our church partners in Baptists Together, the Baptist Union of Wales, and the Presbyterian Church of Wales, as well as with our academic partners in Cardiff University.
As far as possible, we aim to find the best fit for each student to help them respond fully to the call of God upon their lives – whether that be as a chaplain, a pioneer, a Recognised Local Minister, a Nationally Accredited Minister, a local church member, a PhD Research student – or anything else!
We are passionate about being disciples and building disciples. As a small institution, every staff member and student knows each other well and we all have a part to play in serving one another, supporting one another, and shaping one another in the pattern and calling of Christ.
However, though our size gives us the benefit of close relationships, many of our students are following academic programmes with Cardiff University, and therefore have access to the extensive resources of an internationally significant research university.
