Baptist Union of Great Britain Response to the ITV documentary 'Long Lost Family: The Mother and Baby Home Scandal'

The Baptist Union of Great Britain became aware in 2018 of the hurtful and harmful experiences of women and their children at The Haven. The story shared in this documentary sheds light on experiences for which we deeply lament.
 
Since 2018, we have engaged with several women and met with them to hear their stories to understand what they would like to happen. We have actively reached out to mothers and are aware some do not feel they are currently able to tell their stories.
