First live EP for songwriter Luke

The first live EP from worship leader and songwriter Luke Wareham is now available - and he hopes it will help people fix their eyes on Jesus

Luke Wareham Live EP1Luke Wareham - Live EP was recorded at Clevedon Baptist Church in north Somerset, the church where Luke worships. The singing of members of the congregation also features in the EP, which includes live versions of Shadows, Honour You Lord, Refuge and Therefore I Know.

Brand new official music videos from the night are available on YouTube.

‘Making the new live EP has been great fun, with so many amazing people involved and I cannot wait for everyone to hear the songs,' Luke said.

'I have been writing these songs over the past year (they have been previously released as studio recordings) and some really kind people have supported me in this new live recording.

'Our hope in recording these songs is that they will help people to fix their eyes on Jesus. The evening of worship where we recorded these songs was a special time where freedom was released in the room as we gazed at Jesus.

'As we recorded the songs from the beginning we had 2 Corinthians 4:18 in mind and it has really spoken to me this year. It says ‘So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever’.

One of Luke’s favourite songs on the new release is Therefore I Know, which he wrote with Sarah Téibo and Rachel Walker Mason. The song is an outpouring of their hearts for each of us to know the hope we have in Jesus.

‘It was so great to write with Sarah and Rachel they are both such great songwriters and encouragers,' Luke said. 'As we wrote this song we hoped that through this song people will grow closer to God and have confidence in their identity in Him.'

The songs were produced by Ollie Morris and mastered by Stephenson Bros Co.

Luke Wareham – Live EP is available to stream and download on all music platforms. The chords to the song are available to download via SongSelect. Download here: linktr.ee/warehamluke
