'Walking with Jesus through a changing climate'

COP26 Glasgow.  Bio-diversity.  Net-zero-carbon.  Growing back green.  All buzz phrases you’ll hear flying around the media as the issue of the climate and environmental crisis features large over the coming year.  But what does it all mean for our Baptist family?  For our growing as disciples of Jesus, and inviting others to share and know the fullness of life that Jesus brings? 

Join in conversation with the Baptist Union Environmental Network - BUEN - and BMS World Mission.  Add your own voice to those from across the generations - from Millennials to Baby Boomers - and the world - from the UK to Peru.  Voices and stories that share the invitation to join God’s mission to the community of creation that is increasingly entrapped by climate change, bringing freedom, hope and peace over the coming decade.

The panel left us with these action points:

• Connect with BUEN – join a local a hub to inspire and share ideas
• Hold a Climate Sunday service
• Register for eco-Church
• Worship God but view the way you relate to the environment as central to your discipleship
• Think about offsetting your carbon – see the carbon calculator on the BMS World Mission website
• Include the young voices in discussions about the environment
