This one-hour webinar was hosted by Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI) and the Baptist Union of Great Britain. The webinar explored how the Conservative-led Government implanted a policy that created distrust and increased discrimination and deprivation among those with an insecure immigration status in this country. This populist policy, which tapped into the growing anti-immigration status in this country, aimed to build on the ‘fortress Britain / island nation' attitude. What should be the churches' theological response to this issue?
