Prayer for Assembly More Important Than Ever This Year

The Baptist Assembly 2012 has opened as normal with a time of prayer for the gathering

Prayer for Assembly more impor

The Prepare with Prayer meeting was led by outgoing president of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Revd Dr Pat Took (pictured), and the Revd Geoff Andrews, who succeeded her this year as regional minister team leader of the London Baptist Association.

Opening up the meeting Dr Took said that praying for the Assembly and listening to God was more important than ever this year as the Assembly discusses and discerns the future of the Baptist Union.

In the first hour prayers were said for London and various aspects of the Assembly weekend.
The second hour focused on the future of the BUGB with a presentation on the Futures process by Phil Jump, regional minister team leader for the North Western Baptist Association.
