Corona Advice Webinar: Supporting those facing domestic abuse
Supporting those facing domestic abuse. Wednesday 10 June
It has been both speculated and observed how lockdown creates the conditions in which domestic abuse thrives. What are the signs we should look for? How can we help those who are suffering? What support and resources can we draw on if we feel out of our depth? This webinar looked into these topics through a conversation between Rachel Stone, BUGB Safeguarding Team Leader and Bekah Legg, Director of Restored, an organisation that aims to equip the church help end violence against women and girls.
If you would like to know more about supporting those who have experienced abuse, there are resources available from Restored and from BUGB free of charge. A more detailed list of resources and support organisations is available in the BUGB guides shown below.
Restored publish a wide range of materials for churches, including specific responses to Covid 19 and more information on the forthcoming series of ‘Teatime Talks’.
