Ewyas Harold Baptist Church
A loving, caring church that is deeply rooted upon the love of God and which desires to share this love with everyone.
A forward looking church that is willing to step out in creative ways.
A thankful church - thankful to God for his faithfulness and provision over many years, including support from Home Mission
Ewyas Harold Church is a small but growing fellowship that desires to use its resources and facilities, including the church (built in 1865) and the hall (opened in 2003) to engage with the local community and beyond in new, innovative ways.
Two initiatives - Koffi Pot, a community coffee shop, and Rainbow Arts - have been established for many years and have provided the opportunity to build relationships with the wider community. Following on from this, and in encouraging and enabling the church community to use their gifts, three new initiatives have begun.
These are held on four Saturday afternoon during the year, and with one being held jointly with the church family on a Sunday morning in July. We meet in a variety of venues, including a nature reserve, recreation ground, and farm, and we have activities that are linked with a Bible passage. Activities have included model raft making, pond dipping, camp fires, and treasure hunts, and the themes have included: 'Fishing', 'Lost & Found', 'Trust' and 'Light of The World'.

O Sew Simple
This group is creating four wall hangings that are based on scripture verses that are focused on trees, and will depict an oak tree formed with different seasons. As the banners are made it gives the opportunity for individuals to get to know each other better and to share something of their journeys, including their faith.

We meet most months, and sing a variety of songs. As the group has developed, we’ve tried our hand at hand bell ringing, and we have established a link with our local home for the elderly. Singing is great for our bodies, minds and souls, and there have been some wonderful opportunities to sing hymns and to pray with folk as part of this.
As a church we want everyone to reach their full potential in Christ, and central to this is having Jesus at the centre of our individual lives and church community. We are to be his eyes, his ears, his hands and feet.
God’s Spirit is moving, and the church is growing according to His plans and purposes.
For our newly established monthly Xplore Service and Little Explorers, as we seek to share the love of God in intergenerational ways.
That we will continue to listen, to step out in boldness and freedom, and to place our trust in an amazing God, who can do far more than we can ever ask for or imagine.
Finally, we give thanks to all who give so generously to Home Mission so that small churches like ours can be beacons of God’s light and love.
God bless you all!
