The Baptist Assembly
Taking place on Saturday 16 May in Peterborough
As a Union of Churches, Associations and colleges, once a year we gather together as Baptists Together at the Assembly. This year it is being held at the KingsGate Conference Centre in Peterborough.
The Assembly gives opportunity for our shared life and interdependency to be celebrated. With the foundation in the Word and worship, each Assembly gives time to celebrate what God is doing across the country and also to explore what has been accomplished through Home Mission, our Baptist Together ‘purse’.

Recent years at Assembly have seen Home Mission granted churches being given prominent space in the programme. In 2014 a focus on the pioneering work of the churches of our Union showed how, through Home Mission, Jesus is being made known in places where there was not a Christian presence.
Assembly is changing, as so much in life is, but it is still holding on to its key aims of fellowship, worship, scripture and deliberation. Every person who attends a Baptist church is welcome to join us.
For more details see the Assembly website.
Please pray:
-
For the team of people planning and delivering the programme, children’s and youth work and logistics for this year’s Assembly
-
For safe travel to Peterborough for all those who attend
-
For a sense of God’s presence and vision in all aspects of our gathering together
-
For the staff of the KingsGate conference centre hosting this year’s event
