Baptist Union Council

MapDay28CouncilA place where the work of our Union and issues facing it are reported on and discussed

The Baptist Union Council meets twice a year and is made up of 80 members mostly drawn from churches, Associations, colleges and co-opted delegates.

Mission matters.  Relationships matter.  One is inextricably linked with the other as it is through our relationship with the Lord and with others that mission is experienced and expressed.  So being together is important for us so that we can worship, pray, discern and encourage each other in our common purpose.

We do that nationally through our Assembly and also through our Union’s Council which is a realistic way in which we can share, listen and discern what the Lord is saying to us as a whole movement of churches, Associations and Colleges.
Lynn Green
General Secretary

Please pray:

  • As Council meets today, pray that Jesus would be at the centre of all that we are and do
  • One of the key things we will be considering is what Ministries we need for the future and how we support and deliver them
  • Pray that we would have clarity about how the Lord is leading us, and confidence to make decisions that will enable effective mission
